Notice For Non-Utility Customers

For more than 115 years, Hawaii Gas has provided our customers with friendly local service and safe, clean, and reliable energy solutions. Keeping customers top of mind, we do our best to mitigate rising costs while investing in system reliability, security of supply and clean energy innovation.

Still, like many other businesses in Hawaii, we are having to respond to market forces. Sustained increases in our supply costs and the cost of maintaining the service have made a propane price increase necessary for our non-utility customers.

Residential Customers: Effective March 1, 2022, a 30 cents per gallon price increase will be implemented for non-utility residential customers. The new price will apply to deliveries made starting in March.

Commercial Customers: Effective March 1, 2022, a price increase will be implemented for many non-utility commercial customers. For those customers impacted, notification of this overall increase was made via a letter dated, February 1, 2022. The new price will apply for deliveries made starting March 2022. Commercial customers should contact your Account Executive or local office for additional information.

We understand that in some cases, this is a significant increase. This decision to adjust our prices was made after carefully weighing all options and, in many cases, is the first such increase in many years. We continue to control the costs and efficiency of our operations, while monitoring and managing the cost of our supply. At the same time, our Hawaii Gas team is committed to providing you with 24-7, high-quality expertise, and local customer service across every island.

We appreciate your business and the opportunity to make Hawaii Gas your energy provider of choice. We hope that you continue to value the reliability of the gas service even in times of emergency. Couple this with Hawaii Gas’ team of local experts and you can rest assured your energy needs continue to be covered.
